![]() ImmunoGen, Inc. develops targeted anticancer biopharmaceuticals. We use our proprietary Tumor-Activated Prodrug (TAP) technology – together with our strong antibody expertise – to develop our own product candidates. To expand the use of our technology and help us fund our product programs, we selectively outlicense our TAP technology to other companies. We currently have two wholly-owned TAP compounds in human clinical testing – our IMGN242 compound is in Phase II testing for the treatment of CanAg-expressing gastric cancer and our IMGN901 compound is in clinical trials for the treatment of small-cell lung cancer and multiple myeloma. We expect to file an IND for a third compound, IMGN388, in 2Q08. Leading antibody and/or oncology companies, including Genentech and sanofi-aventis, have licensed rights to use our TAP technology to develop products. Genentech’s trastuzumab-DM1 (T-DM1) TAP compound began Phase II testing in July 2007; Genentech has disclosed they expect to make a T-DM1 Phase III go/no go decision in 2008. Genentech also has licensed the right to use our TAP technology with their antibodies to three other targets, and has certain rights to test it with antibodies to additional targets. Sanofi-aventis has three compounds in the clinic through our collaboration with them, plus additional ones behind these. Other of our collaborators include Biogen Idec and Biotest AG, both of which recently filed INDs for TAP compounds. ImmunoGen is headquartered in Waltham, Massachusetts. Our GMP manufacturing facility is in Norwood, Massachusetts. We have approximately 200 employees in R&D, clinical research, manufacturing, and administrative functions. |
