![]() Our IMGN388 TAP compound consists of our DM4 cell-killing agent attached to an integrin-targeting antibody that was developed by Centocor. The target for this compound occurs on a number of types of cancer cells. It also can be found on endothelial cells that are engaged in forming new blood vessels. The process of angiogenesis is a prerequisite for tumor growth. This compound is a potential treatment for a number of types of solid tumors and has shown highly encouraging results in preclinical testing. We filed an Investigational New Drug (IND) application for IMGN388 in May 2008 and began Phase I evaluation of the compound for the treatment of solid tumors in July 2008. |
